Joe McLoughlin
Joe McLoughlin is a qualified housing professional and Business Development Manager for Home Connections. Home Connections is a not for profit social business and London’s leading choice based lettings provider. Home Connections runs projects and 'proof of concept' pilots for local and central government. Joe works with local authorities and Registered Social Landlords (RSL's) to re-engineer services and introduce new forms of technology. With 15+ years experience in Housing, Development and Adult Social Care Joe has a national profile in this area. Joe has spoken at events and fora organised by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), Housemark, Housing Quality Network, Department of Communities and Local Government (CLG) and to numerous individual borough councils, housing associations, boards and committees. He has previously run workshops on choice, accessibility and housing options at Harrogate and at regional events. Joe is particularly interested in new digital and social media and how it can be harnessed to engage communities and improve services. Born into an Irish family in Harlesden, north London, he began his professional career providing frontline housing advice in the Irish community. Joe was previously chair of the Hammersmith Irish Forum and has been involved in a number of campaigning organisations. Joe has previously worked in RSL development, supported hostel management, estate based services and tenant engagement.
